April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 in seventh grade. She began playing the guitar as well as taking piano classes, which ignited her interest in songwriting. April's first song was Different, which she wrote when she was 12 years old. The year she turned 14 was when she devoted a great deal of time to making song lyrics and working on her musical skills. She started writing songs alongside her father and her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April began also to incorporate different topics related to some of her peers who are dealing in the area of peer pressure disabilities and even teen suicide in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart collaborates with famous clean beauty brand Ilia as well as a lifestyle influencer who has a growing fan base. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is why she's what she is. It's just not all the facts. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her disability. But it also doesn't make it a point to emphasize it. The message? This is the message That we all carry many identities, we're way more diverse than we think that we're. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she doesn't wish to be defined solely by her disability. She doesn't wish to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about that. There are a variety of aspects of Lockhart. However, it doesn't affect my everyday living. I do the normal things and have adjusted to my disabilities. It's also a part of my life, and I think it's something that needs to be addressed. Lockhart encourages us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. She still admits having gone through a few phases with her physique, feeling uneasy in some instances to wear clothing that displayed her arms. She wears what she likes and proudly posts pictures of herself in the outfits she wears on social platforms. What makes self-love so appealing to her is the fact that it's not a place to go. However, I believe that's the case with everyone with whatever they are struggling with. It is essential to be around people who can really know you.
